Welcome to Fine & Country in the Southern Marches
Estate Agent in Abergavenny, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye and Usk
We have been operating a Fine and Country department alongside our core brand of Parrys Residential for several years. It enables us to offer all the benefits of instructing a national agent without losing the local touch.
Parrys Fine and Country is part of the largest UK Prestige Property Group by far, in terms of branch numbers no other prestige network even comes close.
We find our clients appreciate the years of local knowledge we have accumulated and the fact that we can offer regional, national and international coverage via Fine and Country. In particular access to the London market, with our superb Park Lane showroom and the extensive national advertising we are able to offer.
Working closely with neighbouring Fine & Country offices, notably in Cheltenham, Bristol and Brecon we can offer a seamless marketing package unrivalled in the region.
If you are considering living here you have the opportunity to join us in what we feel is one of the most beautiful and accessible, parts of Britain. Our region is richly varied from the rolling hills of Herefordshire to the rugged Brecon Beacons.
The Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, straddles the English/Welsh border and provides delightful riverside walks, spectacular viewpoints and historic ruins. The River Wye meanders from Ross-on-Wye through Monmouth and into the Severn Estuary at Chepstow.
To the South East of the Wye Valley is the Royal Forest of Dean, one of England’s few remaining ancient Forests covering some 27,000 acres of woodland,
To the West are the Usk and Monnow valleys. This wonderful border landscape becomes more rugged around Abergavenny with the famous Sugar Loaf overlooking the town. Just beyond Abergavenny is The Brecon Beacons National Park which covers a vast 520 sq. miles, and contains some of the most breathtaking scenery and distinctive upland formations in Southern Britain.
All manner of sporting activity is catered for: canoeing, fishing, walking and riding in the countryside, but there are also several top quality golf courses, including The Celtic Manor, near Usk, the home of The Ryder Cup in 2010.
Schooling is excellent at all levels, including several private schools, most notably the Haberdashers in Monmouth, for day pupils and boarders.
There are many traditional pubs and several top quality restaurants, one or two with celebrity chefs!
